With our clients, employees, and their families at the center of everything we do as a company, we’d like to take the time to address concerns about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and the steps we’re taking in our facilities to continue our focus on keeping people safe and healthy.
We’re closely monitoring the situation and following guidance from public health officials and government agencies, including the Center for Disease Control and the World Health Organization. We will continue to assess the situation, and stay in constant communication with our employees and customers to provide information and guidance as developments unfold.
The cleanliness of our offices and facilities is always a top priority for us, now more than ever. In addition to our regular cleaning procedures, increased sanitization measures have been added to every facility. Employee care is always at the core of our commitment. For all employees, we continue to be flexible, continue to focus on prevention, and continue to encourage them to stay at home if they are not feeling well. Additionally, U.S. travel has been limited, and international travel restricted.
Furthermore, effective immediately, as a precautionary measure to protect all those within our facilities, any customers, contractors, suppliers or any other visitors to any SMA facility, will be asked to complete a brief screening questionnaire before entering the facility. Individuals who disclose that they have recently traveled to a high-risk COVID-19 area, been in close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 or are symptomatic with fever, cough and/pr difficulty breathing, will be asked to reschedule their visit at a later time (14 days or more).
As a global company, we are closely monitoring our supply chain and taking every action to minimize disruption. We understand this situation is top of mind for all of us right now.
